In this painting I express the silent grief of dreams once held close, hopes that slipped away years ago without ceremony or acknowledgement. The loss never spoken of to anyone, never shown. It was simply carried, smile in place, as though it hadn’t mattered. But it did matter. This painting is my quiet admission of that: the sadness shrugged off and buried, finally given a place to exist alongside the face shown to the world.
